Information overload

For me personally the MORE form was rather scary. There is so much information to read through and a lot of planning to do prior to beginning this. For me, I often get things wrong. I mis-read, but also cannot always ask multiple questions because of the time difference there is between the UK and China. I often feel I miss out on important pieces of information because I am never part of any group sessions. I have realised that it is vital and crucial to your learning to be amongst these different groups, as it most likely will have people asking the same types of questions you may have about the module. 

In this case I feel I missed out on vital information regarding the MORE form. I feel I got extremely confused in some areas because honestly I did not fully understand some of the areas within the application. Althoug it was stated in the skype call at the beginning of the module that a lot of things would not apply to us Dance students, it is still difficult to tell with some questions which may or may not be applicable. 

My nerves got the better of me during the process of my MORE, but I managed to do everything I could in order to fill out the application. I submitted this and it was rejected. I take this as a positive as I am then able to receive comments on the sections that were not meeting the standards of the application. This gives me an idea of where I went wrong. In all honesty, these were already the areas I predicted to be the unsuccessful parts of the application, so I feel more than happy to be able to re-evaluate what I have written and be able to re-do what I have stated. This way I can make sure when it is submitted for the second time, I can then fully understand and acknowledge what I have written can be more understandable by the reader. 

So far the MAPP modules have been very interesting,  but I feel that as a distance learner it can be very difficult to sometimes understand the importance of learning and knowledge. Being so far away means questions that need answers may take longer and information can be mis-understood easily. It is very difficult at times, but the course seems to be building upon my interests further and further as we enter the different modules. Therefore I feel my learning and knowledge I am gaining in new areas are really expanding.
