Surrounded by Inspiration
Today, I began reading over other peoples blogs, and getting and insight to see what they have been doing. I found many peoples ideas and approches with words have influenced where I begin with my work. I feel beginning is always the hardest part when you don't quite know what to say. It's often enough clear as to what you should write, but not always how or what to think about in relation to your learning and knowledge. As it was quoted within the module guide,
(There is an assumption for many people that thinking and writing are linked.)
"writing is a means of puzzling through what is happening in our work and personal lives."
D. Boud (English and Gillen, 2001)
Having looked at this quote puts me in two minds.
Are thinking and writing linked?
Why may they not be linked?
In my mind in makes sense that whatever the mind (thinks) creates, the writing is a mere reflection of the thought being processed or illustrated. How can you write without having to think first?
Without this question in mind, I wouldn't be able to reflect and write about my learning experience.
So they must be linked right?
Whats other peoples views on this quote? I'd like to hear what people think and get a little more inspiration into my learning and knowledge.
